Martinis In Puerto Rico Part 1

The beach bar bartender at the hotel told me she couldn't make a martini for me since she only had gin and not vermouth or olives. I asked if she could shake up some Tanqueray and make it cold. She said she could and asked if I wanted a twist of lemon with it. I said I did. It came in a plastic cup and the effect just wasn't the same as that of a regular martini.

Puerto Rico - Mimosas

Dale and I are in San Juan staying at the Marriott on Condado Beach. We had mimosas with breakfast this morning. They were delightful. It's been a while since I've had one.

Tonight It's Vodka

Vodka martini tonight. Stoli to be exact (I'm out of gin).

Cocktail Hour Music - Seth MacFarlane

I'm not quite sure what to make of his Oscar hosting gig. Was he sexist, misogynistic, or just being satirical? Regardless, he sang standards and I can't hold THAT against him. Tonight we listed to his album for cocktail hour. I quite like it.

I recently came upon a bag of oranges. Don't ask me how. Anyway, I've been making lots of orange juice and tonight I made a screwdriver. I haven't had one of those in ages. I used Stoli for the vodka.
