Dale and I had Mike and Charisse over for dinner last night. I texted him earlier in the week about something else and he came back with the following:
"I am currently undertaking a January body detox so no Martinis for me until February."
My response was: "But you're coming over this weekend, goofball."
Once I reached a point of acceptance that he wouldn't be having a cocktail with me I decided I'd drink Sidecars so he wouldn't feel like he was missing out on martinis. I think the sidecar intrigued him though so maybe I'll get him to try one of those the next time we get together.
