Went over to my friend Steve's house last night for a visit. We smoked Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur cigars and drank Tanquerey gin and tonics.

Cocktails and dinner at Warren and Gary's last night. I had a Tanqueray martini. As always, Gary uses more vermouth than I ever would but it was still great. Dale drank red wine.

Hendricks martinis for cocktail hour last night. Dale had red wine. Yesterday offered a very hot day for October but the afternoon and evening cooled down to a very moderate and pleasant temperature. We sat with drinks in the backyard for a while and then moved onto the front porch.

Cocktails on the Boat

My friends Mike and Charisse took me out on their boat yesterday for cocktails on the St. Croix River. I had a Tanqueray martini with olives. Charisse had beer and wine and I actually got Mike to try a gin martini. It was a gorgeous day. Dale didn't join us for the boat ride as he wasn't feeling well during the day but in the evening he joined us a Mike and Charisse's house for wine and Chinese take out.
